Farewell Assembly

Thursday's Farewell Assembly was a celebration of Year 12, and acknowledged their contributions and years of schooling. Thank you to family and friends who joined in the celebration in the hall and online. As part of the celebrations the Year 12 class of 2023 were presented with their 'Mater Dei Cross' and prayer card.

The ceremony was a special opportunity to congratulate Year 12 on their efforts, wish them all the very best for the HSC exams, thank them for their contributions to the College and wish each student well on their life journey.

One Final Event from College Captain Josh Shaw

I am a member of an advisory group for Headspace Wagga and we are working on an event for Headspace Day, which occurs on the 4th of October.  Recognising that this date is during the school holidays, we have moved our celebrations in Wagga to Friday the 13th of October.

The aim of the day is to encourage people to look after their mental health and have conversations with their loved ones.  We also want to make Headspace Wagga more visible to young people and their families.

We know a lot of young people who Headspace could help aren’t seeking that help. This is often because they aren’t really aware of Headspace or what it offers. Headspace Day is a great opportunity to change this.

The College will be holding a green mufti day on Friday 13 of October, there will be no donation required and any green mufti would fit the theme perfectly.

Year 12, 2023, you have created your own universe and we have been privy to it for what now seems like not nearly long enough.  What comes next is someone else’s privilege and we hope your impact on them is just as great as it has been on us.  Any community will be lucky to have you.  On behalf of this one, we hope that you remember us for the many great moments we shared.

For the lessons we learned, the sense of belonging we grew, the faith we inspired and the community we’ve been together. We wish you all the very best for your HSC exams and beyond.
