Resource Centre
The College participated in the Premier’s Reading Challenge for the first time in a long while, with a total number of 25 students exceeding their reading totals. Well done to those students.
In Week 6 we celebrated book week with the theme READ, GROW,INSPIRE.
As part of this week, a tree was placed in the Resource Centre, with the boys from Construction kindly repainting the tree for us. Each homegroup was given a leaf to cut out and write an inspirational quote from a book. These were amazing.
A book in the jar competition was also held with winners Ellie Clarke and Taian Dutton winning a lucky dip prize. Book week trivia was held on Wednesday with all of the homegroups participating to a high standard. Congratulations to Webber 4 and Kennedy 4 who won joint first place. A hot chip lunch was provided for these homegroups.
The week included a dress up costume theme, with staff and students taking part. Staff had particular fun playing “Where’s Wally". Students and homegroups also won best dressed prizes.
