Hello, from Carolyn.

Hello everyone,

Respectful behaviour at school.

Our work on respectful behaviour is not just for our students, it is for all adults who enter our school grounds. If you are meeting with any of our staff members, or communicating with them via email or phone, we expect that you will treat all of us with respect.

Staffing update.

Next term, Laura Trembath will be returning to work four days a week. Laura will be teaching F/1T Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays. It's great news that Laura is able to be back with us more often. Julie Martin, one of our regular replacement teachers and a current parent at our school, will teach F/1T on Thursdays.

All of that means that we will be saying good bye to Amy Cecil at the end of the term. Amy has been teaching F/1T since early in Term 1. Amy has been instrumental in supporting our Foundation students in F/1T to have a great start to school life and in supporting our Year 1 students to continue having great learning days.

Thank you Amy for being with us for three terms and being a great member of our teaching team and school community!

For the rest of this term, Nicole Lowe will be enjoying some long service leave. Julie Martin will be teaching F/1L Monday to Thursday for the next two weeks. Jeanette Hayes, one of our regular replacement teachers, will teach the grade next Friday.

Arrival time at school for students.

We have had increasing numbers of students being dropped off at school well before 8:30am, sometimes just after 8am!!! Please do not drop your child/ren early to school, and certainly don't drop them and encourage them to hide somewhere in the grounds until a teacher is out on duty!

Our OSHC service is available for families who need to drop their children at school before 8:30am.

If your child/ren aren't booked in to OSHC then they can arrive at school between 8:30am and 8:45am. A teacher is on yard duty from 8:30am.

Sunsmart hats time!

It's time to dig out your child's sunsmart school hats, give them a wash on the weekend and send them to school on Monday. All students are expected to wear their sunsmart school hats from Monday for the rest of the year.

Lunch order.

Check out the lunch order information on the Parents & Friends page. Thank you to our P&F group for organising this. Hopefully we will be able to use the same supplier to hold lunch order days more often.

Jolly Soles fundraiser.

P&F have been really busy! They are also running a 'Jolly Soles' fundraiser. So, turn your work out socks into cleaning rags, and support the fundraiser as it will raise funds to support our students and our school.

Hooray for the first day of spring! It's lovely to see blossoms, more daylight and sunshine!

I hope you all have a great weekend.

warm regards,

Carolyn.
