Literacy

In literacy during the last fortnight, the 5/6s have been looking at poetry. We have looked into the different techniques and styles that poets use to create literary art. Our students have been identifying the use of imagery and figurative language within poems. We have also been writing a variety of styles of poems, some of which are displayed below. 

Numeracy

During our numeracy sessions we have been looking at patterns. Our students have spent time investigating number patterns and sequences. They have identified rules within these patterns and sequences and designed some of their own.

Book Week 

One of the most exciting events of the year came around in week 7, BOOK WEEK! Our students showed their love for reading by dressing up as a variety of very recognisable book characters. From the Mad Hatter to Minions to Dog Man, they had it all. See below some of our fantastically dressed up students.
