Year 1/2 Report

This term, the students in 1/2 have been busy learning about living things and how they change and grow. They have explored the different things that living things need to survive and how there are similarities between different organisms. After their investigation’s students selected a living organism of their choice to learn about further. They focused on finding information about their organisms’ habitat and other additional facts. They we then able to use this information to construct a diorama for their organism that displayed their learning.

To accompany their diorama, students drew diagrams of their organism. They also spent a great amount of time researching and constructing an explanation text about their organism’s life cycle. It was great to see students so engaged in the learning and the knowledge that they were able to share back with their peers.

We have had a great term of learning in 1/2 and can’t wait to continue in Term 4.
