Science Week

National Science Week was busy for the year 5/6's! On Monday we collaborated with the 3/4's to design and share science-based riddles, seeing which group could solve the most. Wednesday had us testing not only potatoes but many different fruits to try and power a lightbulb. Unfortunately, the experiment failed, but it was a learning experience as we discussed what could have gone wrong! Finally on Friday, the year 5's put their knowledge of reflection to the test by creating periscopes and figuring out how many fingers Mr Galic was holding up from behind the door to prove their success.

Storytime from a Science Ship (Year 1/2 Class)

Join us online to see our special guest, wildlife biologist and author Dr Vanessa Pirotta, read her beautiful book, 'The Voyage of Whale and Calf'. 'The Voyage of Whale and Calf' explores humpback whale migration – plunge below the surface to learn more about the lives of these magnificent marine mammals! This special event will take place aboard our blue-water research vessel, RV Investigator.

Daffodil Day

It was fabulous to see an influx of yellow outfits in support of Daffodil Day. Staff and students embraced the yellow, participated in biscuit icing and decorating and we raised $153 for the Cancer Council. Thank you to everyone for supporting this very worthy cause.
