Callistemon House

Hello, my name is Thanesha and I am the Student Representative for Year 8 Callistemon. 

This is my first year being involved with the leadership team at Dandenong High School and even though we are coming closer and closer to the end of Term 3, the past couple of terms have been absolutely amazing for getting to know lots of people across the school. My favourite thing about being a part of the Student Representative Council is that I'm able to use my voice and get to connect with so many people across different Houses and year levels. 

As we draw closer to Multicultural Week, we can definitely say that this week is going to be more spectacular than ever. We have student held performances, cultural dress up day on Thursday, food trucks, music, dancing and more. To make this week more memorable than ever, make sure to sign up for performances and dress up!

The past term, Callistemon has been doing a 'guess the number of lollies in the jar' fundraiser. Guesses are 50 cents and the winner will be announced very soon. We are fundraising for the Malala Foundation which is a foundation founded by Malala and Ziauddin Yousafzai. This foundation aims to provide girls with 12 years of free, safe and quality education. 

As we come closer and closer to the end of Term 3, on behalf of Callistemon I'd like to wish you well and hope you have a fantastic holiday. Stay safe and we’ll see you in time for Term 4.
