Banksia House

Hello, my name is Fathima and I am the SRC for Year 8 Banksia this year.

It was a fantastic term and I enjoyed being SRC for Banksia. I gained a lot of experience and confidence by attending meetings with fellow Banksia SRC members. I'm grateful for these incredible opportunities. They helped me a lot in terms of collaboration, improving mental health and challenging my thinking. I'd like to thank all SRC members and the teachers who helped us organise things and gave me the opportunity to hear several inspiring presentations and lectures from older students that I look up to. Helping and getting support from Banksia made me feel unique and like I belonged at this school. I want to thank everyone at Banksia, including the House Leader, Ms. McLure, staff members, and the House Assistant Leader, Mr. Dowsing, for always reminding me about our meetings and making me feel welcomed to the group when I accidentally arrived late. 

I wish you all a fantastic 2 week holiday! Make the most of every moment, relax and have a blast. Safe travels.
