PSC Environmental Program

Our Year 11 VCE VM students have made a tremendous start in getting 600 native plants into the ground as part of our Junior Landcare Australia funded Biodiversity Project. Our aim is to reintroduce a number of local indigenous species that would have been on the school site before the arrival of European settlers, creating habitat for other native species to join us on our school site - very exciting!

Our students managed to plant 172 plants on Monday, 21st August. We also spent time replanting out parts of our Henty Lilypond area and discovered lots of Spotted Marsh Frogs - still hibernating in the mulch that our students spread out amongst the 1,000+ local native plants that they reintroduced earlier in the year.

Our native habitat creation is well underway!
