Year 3/4

34N & 3T

The thing that was on everyone’s mind coming into this term was camp. We held weekly meetings in the lead up and the students had the chance to raise any concerns that they had and ask any questions that they would like answered.

There were some natural nerves and a lot of excitement prior to camp. Once we got there we were all impressed with the attitude of everyone. There was a lot of encouragement during the challenging activities and all of the students supported each other to challenge themselves and push their limits. We completed a zipline, low ropes course, flying fox and a rock-climbing wall. It was set up as challenge by choice. Meaning that the students would determine how far they went with each activity and they all did a fantastic job with this by putting their brave in front and going out of their comfort zone and really giving everything a go.

We also went on a lovely bush walk down to the beach and did some bush cooking where each student made some damper. We were also treated to some delicious meals while there and were lucky enough to wind down each night with a movie in the games room before bed.

A highlight that all of the children mentioned was the visit to the chocolate factory on the way home where we each made a huge chocolate lollypop and we also got to top them with whatever sweets that we liked followed by a yummy ice cream before getting back on the bus to head home.

We were all looking forward to our own bed by the time we finally arrived back in Lancefield.
