News from our School Garden...
It’s exciting times in our school Edible Garden and we are so appreciative to all the participants of the BHPS Golf Day. We would also like to say a very big thankyou to the Barwon Heads Golf Club for their support of our school! Money raised from this day has been kindly donated to the work and improvements we are making to our school edible garden.
We are currently working on organising the installation of our greenhouse which will hopefully be in early Term 4. This will also coincide with some exciting changes to our edible garden, including new veggie boxes and a more user friendly space for our students, teachers, volunteers and parents to learn and work in! Thanks again to the Barwon Heads Golf Club for their support and stay tuned for more information.
BARWON HEADS NATURE FESTIVAL (Sep 15th-Oct 29th)
As part of the Geelong Nature Festival (Sept 15-Oct29 see ad for details), Friends of the Bluff are conducting the BARWON HEADS NATURE FESTIVAL (Sept 24 - 29 ). This year’s festival theme is “Our Backyard” and FoB have planned a week of activities to get you up close and personal with the host of plants, birds and animals that share Barwon Heads backyard. All events are free but you may need to book on event brite.
It will be school holidays and we have planned a feast of nature based children’s activities. The Lobster Pot education centre in Jetty Road will host a different activity every afternoon for the young and young at heart. Art, games, puzzles and of course the Lobster Pot to explore. We will also ‘pop-up’ in the Flinders Pde playground on the Thursday morning.
Explore, learn and celebrate our backyard with Friends of the Bluff.
