Numeracy:

During Numeracy this term, students have been working on their algebra, fractions and decimals knowledge. We have enjoyed playing warm up games such as 'beat the teacher' and 'target number.'

Writing:

This term students have planned and drafted a narrative with the theme of 'A Quest' or 'A Journey' this is currently being looked over by a published author Anders Lewis, who is going to provide feedback to every student. Once we receive them back and students have revised and edited their stories, they will be published in a book, that will be available to purchase. We will also be having a book launch party in term 4.

Inquiry:

We are currently working on a Historical Narrative, where students are writing a story of either a chosen or made-up migrant and their journey to Australia. Students have the choice on how they present their Historical Narrative, using avenues such as podcast, video, letters or narrative form.

Reading:

Book Week - Book Review Diorama

This term, students have been working collaboratively to create a Book Review Diorama. Students had to create a scene from their book, and also summarise the plot, characters and setting and give the book a rating.

We had an exhibition where the students were able to share their work with other students in the school.
