Past School Captain Kennedy Su'a has joined our team of Staff at Staughton

Staughton College. That’s home. When I was presented with the opportunity to come back I couldn’t say no. As a former student here at Staughton, returning in a new role was different for me. Of course the uniform rules, the permitted spaces and names change when you are a staff member compared to a student, but there is one thing that remains the same, and that is the sense of community. This year I have been blessed with the chance to play a familiar role in Student Leadership as their assistant. Though a relatively new role, it allows for many opportunities to work closely with all aspects of SLT, from goal setting with our young leaders to music production with the Music team. I’ve also been able to create content pieces for our Arts side of the school which I personally think deserves more love than it currently receives. Besides SLT, I’ve also been fortunate enough to work within the Instrumental Music department where I teach and facilitate learning for a core group of Guitar students. Though we only meet once a week for a lesson it is rewarding to see their practice and efforts produce a piece that they can be proud of. Well that’s a little bit about me and what I currently do at Staughton. Looking forward to what the future holds and hopefully they’ll have me back!
