Invitation to Participate in the 2024 Parent/Caregiver/Guardian Opinion Survey

Our school is conducting the annual Parent / Caregiver / Guardian Opinion Survey and is seeking your feedback. The survey, offered by the Department of Education, is designed to assist schools in gaining an understanding of families’ perceptions of school climate, student behaviour, and student engagement.

Your opinions are important to us and will contribute to identifying areas for improvement and professional development needs in the school, to target school planning and improvement strategies.

Please be assured that your responses are completely confidential. The survey is conducted anonymously, and it is important to our school that you complete the survey as honestly as possible.

  • The survey will be conducted online and should take 20 minutes to complete. It can be completed on any internet enabled device (desktop computer, laptop, tablet or smartphone) and is compatible with most browsers.
  • The survey will be open until Friday 30th August 2024.

Please see Matthew Di Domenica’s Compass post from 30th July that contains the link and PIN number to complete the survey.

Building Works and Drop-Off Zone

Our building works are drawing to a close and we can’t wait to open the new Upper Primary courtyard, basketball court and yarning circle soon.

I know this message has been delivered before but there are often cars parked on nature strips, double parked and attempting to turn around within the back carpark which creates an unsafe environment.

The Council have also been around are likely to issue fines to those who are parked illegally. Please continue to take advantage of our drop off and pick up options in the front car park before and after school.

To alleviate the car parking issues, we have the morning drop off on the front driveway between 8.30-8.40am. The cut-off at 8.40am is strict as the buses will enter from that time. There are staff waiting to assist your child and provide supervision in the gym.

The afternoon pick-up process is available after the buses have departed between 3.10-3.20pm. If you would like your child to use this process, please advise your child’s teacher as your child will be escorted to the front gate and supervised until you drive into the driveway and pick them up. We continue encourage you to take advantage of these options.

Uniform

I would like to remind everyone of Concord School’s Uniform Policy and the expectation that all students wear the correct uniform each day. At this time of the year the main issue is regarding the wearing of non-uniform hoodies and jackets. Please contact the office if your child requires a school jumper, windcheater or rugby top.
