Group 16

Group 16 has had a wonderful start to term three! Our new term theme is transportation and all the students have enjoyed completing activities based on this theme. The boys have been working hard during writing class. We follow a predictable chart writing lesson over three days. Each student chooses a topic, writes a sentence, reads and pastes their sentence in order, and illustrates a picture to match their sentence! We have been writing about all kinds of transportation so far!
Since the beginning of term three we have been having science class! Students have enjoyed participating through exploring different sensory activities. These activities have included manipulating a variety of materials to explore their characteristics, for example, sensory tubs filled with pasta, feathers, water and pebbles. Students have also observed what happens when materials are mixed, manipulated, moved and changed. We also took part in Science Week activities like ‘The Sky Dome’ and planting a garden!
This past week was book week. On Monday we took part in a virtual story telling based on the book “That Bird Has Arms” and we decorated our own birds. On Wednesday we listened to Lindy read stories in the library!
Everyone in Group 16 has been working very hard and should be very proud of their accomplishments. Thank you, parents, for your continuing support.
