Principal's Report

Dear Parents and Families,

We've had an exciting and eventful couple of weeks, with a couple of highlights! Book Week was a standout, and I had the pleasure of participating in one of my favourite annual traditions—reading to the children in the library, dressed as the Cat in the Hat! The joy on their faces made it all the more special. Friday was a spectacular display of creativity, with students and staff alike dressing up as their favourite book characters. The enthusiasm and love for reading were truly heartwarming.

Science Week also brought a flurry of excitement to our school. Classrooms buzzed with energy as students engaged in various experiments and hands-on activities. The Science Dome was, as always, a huge hit, sparking curiosity and wonder among the students. It’s fantastic to see our young learners so engaged and eager to explore the world of science.

On a more serious note, I must address the ongoing issues in our car park.

While we’ve seen some improvements in the mornings, I’m disappointed to report that we continue to receive several complaints regarding unsafe driving and parking in the afternoons. I’ve stressed the importance of safety on numerous occasions, and I want to reiterate that the well-being of our school community is non-negotiable. I will be discussing potential next steps at our School Council meeting on Monday to ensure that we are doing everything possible to maintain a safe environment.

Finally, I’d like to remind you about our parent survey. So far, we have had very few responses, and it’s vital that we hear from as many families as possible. Your feedback is incredibly important to us, and we value your input in helping shape the future of our school. Please take a few minutes to have your say and provide your feedback.

Thank you for your ongoing support and cooperation. Let’s continue to work together to make our school a safe and inspiring place for all our children.
