Principal's Message

Dear parents, students and families,

We are enjoying Book Week and our Book Parade was on Tuesday. The costumes were sensational and a lot of fun was had at our annual parade. Thank you to all the parents and grandparents who were able to join us for the morning. The Book Fair has continued this week and purchases are available before and after school today and tomorrow.  Our Foundation- Year 2 students are attending an excursion to Seaford Library tomorrow to celebrate their Book Week.

Last Friday our  Year 5/6 students had the opportunity to play against Belvedere Park PS. We had a win in the soccer but had close losses in the netball and T-Ball to our much bigger neighbouring school. Well played everyone! Tomorrow our Year 5/6 students continue their Winter sport program playing Netball, T-Ball and Soccer against Mahogany Rise PS at home. Next week we have Seaford Park PS at home.

Father Martin has contacted school to thank everyone for their generous donations to the Frankston Winter Shelter. It is lovely to demonstrate faith in action to help our children learn to help those in need. Hopefully your support has made a difference for the people supported though this program as we learn to be "the helping hands of Jesus".

Next week has a focus on our fathers and those acting in that role. The Father's Day Stall is on Tuesday when I'm sure some special purchases will be made and then on Thursday morning we will have a celebration where the dads, or other special male figures, can come along to spend some time doing an activity or two before having a sausage if they wish. We look forward to seeing many of you here.

Our school continues to grow in terms of student numbers. We will be entering 2025 with approximately 200 students which is a far cry from about 10 years ago when we were at approximately 130 students. I would like to let you know that due to families changing their minds for a variety of reasons including moving from the area and repeating 4 year old kinder a few spots have opened up in our Foundation classes for next year. If you know of anyone who is still unsure, or second guessing themselves, please let them know and we can see if St Anne's is the right fit for them. We also have some very limited vacancies in other areas of the school as well for those wishing to join our faith community.

Kind regards and God Bless

Rod Shaw

Principal
