In The Art Room
Term 3
Foundation students had fun rolling tiny eggs from white clay and placing them gently in beautifully textured pinchpot nests this week. Once they are fired, we will present them on painted tree branches representing a magical forest.
Whilst Grade 1s are patiently waiting for their clay works to fire in the kiln, we revisited our watercolour and paintbrush handling skills to create these gorgeously colourful Impressionist inspired flower garden paintings.
Grade 2's are waiting for their clay daffodils to go through a glaze firing. In the meantime, they are creating a reverse colouring version of a flower garden to present with their clay daffodils.
The Art Room has been a-buzz with all sorts of glaze experiments ranging from painting through to bubble printing. We have even tried glaze transfers to transform our plates.
Our trophies are looking so fine lined up next to one another! We have enjoyed painting the surfaces with bright gold. We can all agree that Acrylic Paint Markers are epic and that make our designs so bold!
I look forward to sharing our Art Room news with you next time.
