ARTIST ON THE RISE

A shout-out to Areia Snell (Year 12), who time and time again, continues to amaze us! 

This year Areia has been taking Units 3/4 Media, where they designed an inspiring graphic novel called Ichor. Ichor follows the story of a banished God, Ichor, reluctantly finding their place in the world as it shifts and changes around them. Ichor’s experiences parallel that of people navigating transitional events in their lives and in the end reassures people that everything will be okay. 

Last year Areia completed Units 3/4 VCD, where they designed a set of characters inspired by experimental design terminology; Ace inspired by Accuracy, Prez inspired by Precision. 

Areia’s VCD work was recently shortlisted for a local design competition as part of Melbourne International Games Week, and their work is currently featured on social media, along with other incredible designers.
