Hello Everyone,

Celebration of Learning!

Next Wednesday, 28th August, is our open afternoon for Celebration of Learning. Our students are getting excited to share the science theme with their family members. Be prepared for some crazy, and hopefully amazing, science experiments! 

As last term, there will Lego packs to win! 

There will be 4 prize packs for students who have a family member attend the day. We understand that some of our student families are unable to attend due to other commitments, so I have 2 prize packs for them.

All names will go into either of the raffles, and will be drawn at assembly on Friday the 30th of August.

Survey - WE WANT OUR PARENTS / CAREGIVERS / GUARDIANS TO TELL US WHAT THEY THINK! 

Our school is conducting the annual Parent / Caregiver / Guardian Opinion Survey and is seeking your feedback.

We sent you an invitation to complete the survey via Compass and email on Monday 29th July. I have resent the invitation and instructions to access the survey on Tuesday 20th August.

The Parent / Caregiver / Guardian Opinion Survey will remain open online untilFriday 30 August 2024.

The survey is available in English and 10 other languages: Arabic, Greek, Hakha Chin, Hindi, Japanese, Punjabi, Simplified Chinese, Somali, Turkish, and Vietnamese. If you require assistance in another language, resources may be available for you.

If you are having trouble accessing the survey at home, there are some iPads available at school for you to use, please ask for one at the office.

Pride and Integrity Raffle 

This raffle, to recognize all of the students who are attending school on time, will continue this year.   This is to acknowledge the students demonstrating Pride and Integrity by being ready to learn each day.

Every student who is at school, and in their classroom, before the bell (9am) will have their name added to the class attendance box. So, if they are present on time, every day of the week, they will have 5 entries into the raffle.

The raffle winner was Levi from 5B! Congratulations!

2024 Term 3 Challenge of the Week

 ‘How many words can you make from these letters:’

The aim is to collaborate with 1 -3 friends or family members (no more than 4 people per entry) to make as many words of 3 letters or more from a given lot of letters, as well as trying to find a word that uses the most of the letters as possible. 

For example, if the letters are P, F, H, U, E, L, L you can make the words: help, full, elf, pull, fuel, helpful.

Last week’s letters were: E, T, L, R, E, F, N, C, I, O

The word using all of the letters is reflection.

Some of the words you could make are: ice, nice, rice, fire, corn, tree, let, rent, fin, fine, finer, free, elect, election, reel, cent, ion, one, left, clef, once, iron, cot, rot, lot

Students collaborating for week 5’s Challenge earnt a PAC each.
