The Premier’s Reading Challenge (PRC) will close shortly. Thirteen of our students have completed the challenge. They will receive a certificate because they have read the required twenty books. Each student needs to be commended for their marvellous achievement.
After twenty-four rounds, the NRL Footy Tipping competition has proven to be quite competitive. At this stage of the competition, only one-point separates first and second place, with teachers leading the students. Please remember that there are only three rounds left until the end of the NRL Footy Tipping competition.
Our library is celebrating Children’s Book Week. This year’s theme is “Reading is Magic.” We encourage reading by promoting the Premier’s Reading Challenge, initiating Book Group discussions and hosting reading sessions in the library.
Specifically, during Children’s Book Week we have created author displays for Anh Do and Morris Gleitzman. Also, our Book Group designed a display for crime fiction writer Michael Connelly. Apart from author displays, students have been working on jigsaw puzzles, trying to solve a Rubik’s Cube, and completing “Find-a-word” puzzles.
To keep up with demand, we are in the process of replenishing our Premier’s Reading Challenge collection.
We also have access to a collection of eBooks and audiobooks on the SORA app. Follow the details below to gain access or speak to library staff.
