Book Week

Book Week is always an exciting occasion every year, to welcome families into the school to join together as community as we celebrate the joy and gift of reading and literacy. It is always a great highlight to see the children dressed up in their costumes, as their favourite book or book character and taking delight in the way that reading takes them into the imagination. 

Another wonderful thing about the gift of reading and literacy is that it also helps us to engage with and share God's word to us in the Bible. It is a great blessing for us to be able to read through and understand God's word for us more deeply and to be able to let others know of the salvation we enjoy in God and His wonderful plans for us. 

Dear Lord, we thank you for the great blessing that the gifts of reading andl iteracy are for us and for the blessing of your Word in the Bible. Amen
