HSC Trials and Major Projects/Performances
Year 12 2024 have recently been participating in the Trial HSC Examinations, along with many other students across NSW. While they are termed 'Trial' these examinations contribute to a student’s final mark. It has been exciting to see the hard work being demonstrated by Year 12 students, as they prepare themselves for the HSC examinations in Term 4. Teachers use the HSC Trial Examinations to provide detailed feedback on students' performance, highlighting areas of strength and identifying topics or skills that need further improvement before the final HSC exams.
In addition to this, there have been several extra classes running in Drama, Music, Visual Arts, Design and Technology, Industrial Technology, History Extension and English Extension 2, as students finalise their major projects or performance pieces with the help of their class teachers. While Term 3 is always a busy time, it is amazing to see the hours of hard work coming to fruition for all our students as they submit these pieces to NESA for marking. St Pius X College celebrates and showcases these major projects and performance pieces through 'Splinters, Splashes, Sounds, Stage & Stories' which will be held on the evening of Thursday 29 August. Everyone is welcome to attend and view these wonderful works.
