Sydney Metro – Chatswood to Sydenham

We have had the following notification from TransportNSW:

The Chatswood to Sydenham component of the M1 Metro North West & Bankstown Line is now open. Eligible students can apply to travel between their school or TAFE and home on Metro services under the School Student Transport Scheme. 

When nominating or updating your preferred transport modes/operators on your school travel pass at transportnsw.info/school-students, select:

Mode: Train 

Operator: Sydney Trains/NSW TrainLink/Sydney Metro

Note: Eligible students can nominate up to three (3) preferred transport modes for journeys between home and school. 

If you are already approved to travel on trains, there is no need to do anything. You will automatically have access to travel on Metro services with your School Opal card.
