Year 7 Year Meeting
“What type of Person are you and What you would like to be”
During our Year 7 Year Meeting in Week 7, we discussed behaviour and feelings associated with bullying.
They were shown a slide show and had to indicate if the picture represented their feelings or not. At the end they were asked to reflect on the slides and how they felt about bullying.
Some of the responses are below:
“I learnt in this lesson that not everyone is perfect and not to bully others because that’s not nice.”
“I’ve learnt a lot in this lesson about treating others and ourselves. About the people you surround yourself with and who you don’t.”
“Be nice and caring toward others.”
“Respect people”
“Not to bully people.”
“Be kind and look after others and help.”
“Be nice and don’t use bad language, help others, listen to the teacher, don’t speak if not spoken to and respect people’s privacy.”
“Everyone is different so I won’t judge them.”
“Be kinder to teachers and peers, get work done, pay attention, think about something before I did it, respect everyone, ignore people who annoy me.”
This shows the level of care Year 7 have towards each other which is fantastic. Sometimes, you have to take a step back and reflect to follow the best path forward.
