Yr 6-Yr 7 Transition

Yr 6 students from local schools came together again last week to become more familiar with Narrandera High School.

The students attended for half a day and engaged in activities to build their confidence around coming to High School. A focus for the day was for students to participate with others who they have recently met. A small portion of this incoming cohort come from outlying small schools and it is fantastic to see them join in and go out of their comfort zone to meet new friends.

Throughout the day students put together a piece of writing telling us all about themselves, used a current timetable to find their way around the school in pairs and then participated in rotating groups such as a playdough challenge, scattegories and this or that.

We look forward to having these students come up again in term 4 for another two full days and participating in everyday classroom activities for a variety of subjects.
