Term 3 Week 6 2024 - Friday 23rd August
What have we been up to?
Another awesome couple of weeks in grade 1/2! Already more than halfway through the term! Time flies when you’re having fun.
All of our students are heavily involved in our Term 3 concert which will be held on September 12th with regular practice sessions taking place during Music, Performing Arts and in the classroom.
We have sent out an email regarding our school concert. If you need extra information please contact your student’s classroom teacher or Ms Susie. We would appreciate help with the costumes and props, our theme is Space. Our beautiful students are so excited about their upcoming performance and we look forward to all families coming to watch.
Despite the rain and the cold, it was a very successful Athletics day held on Tuesday 20th of August. Each and every student did their school and house proud. There was lots of friendly competition and many ribbons were awarded across the day. We were very proud of the way our 1/2 students conducted themselves on the day.
In Maths, students have been working on the topic of Money. There has been a focus on understanding the concept of money, what it looks like and how it is used. Students have been enjoying themselves with fun, hands-on activities.
We also enjoyed a great day last Friday celebrating Science Week 2024. Students participated in a range of activities that rotated through the school. These included playing with and learning about Magnets, creating Sun Catchers and slime. It was a great experience!
We are still focusing on Poetry in our literacy sessions and the students have been doing an amazing job! Many of them have been really enjoying the topic and they’re getting super creative which is so nice to see. We look forward to them creating more amazing work!
Just a reminder to be returning your child's reading folder every Friday. This should include their reader and reading diary. Please make sure your child is reading every night if possible!
Another week down, well done everyone!
