Assistant Principal Report

Awards Assembly

Earlier this term we celebrated the achievements of our students for Semester One.

The event, an initiative of Mr Youssef encompassed the acknowledgment of both academic excellence and endeavour awards for Semester One subjects at a special assembly.

The academic excellence awards were conferred upon students who demonstrated the highest levels of success in their respective subjects.  Meanwhile, the academic endeavour awards recognised students who consistently exerted great effort to perform at their best in their studies.

Furthermore, we took delight in recognizing the significant number of students who consistently attended classes throughout Term 2.  Their dedication was duly acknowledged with attendance awards for both Term 1 and Term 2.

Two additional highlights of this special awards assembly were our musical performances. Mr Dempsey dazzled with his Cello performance, impressing everyone with his fine musical skills.

Additionally, Cheryl Eastwood and her band delivered an outstanding performance with their customary skill and flair.

The accompanying parent morning tea further emphasised the significance of this occasion, as it was heartwarming to witness the strong presence of parents and family members. Undoubtedly, they took great pride in their children's accomplishments.

As is now customary, our assemblies are now guided by our student leaders, with Anna Harper and Zach Bissett taking turns to impressively host the junior and senior school special awards assembly.

Student Learning Conferences were held last week providing the opportunity for collaboration between teachers, parents/guardians and students to celebrate successes and identify areas where further development can be made.

This night was well attended, and I encourage all to continue to support these evenings in 2025 as they provided a wonderful opportunity for growth and development for all concerned.
