Our two dance ensembles competed in the Schools - Year 2 and Under category (Jitterbugs) and Year 4 and Under (UpBeats). Both sections were large and hotly contested with Jitterbugs competing in a section with 10 other school groups and UpBeats with 5 other schools. The students took to the stage with big smiles, plenty of energy and gave it their best and they were rewarded with 2nd Place – Jitterbugs and 3rd Place – UpBeats. Thank you to the staff and Senior School students involved in preparing, choreographing and supervising our dancers. What a fabulous achievement by all!

We are incredibly proud of our dancers for their excellent performances at the Orange Eisteddfod! Their hard work and dedication were evident in every routine, and their smiles showed just how much fun they had on stage. Our Jitterbugs group, competing against 11 other schools, delivered a strong performance and earned a well-deserved 2nd place. The judges praised them, saying, "Well done for remembering where to stand on the stage in all your formations, what a fun routine!" The Upbeats also impressed the judges, securing 3rd place with their routine. They received glowing feedback, with comments like, "Great timing and smiles; you looked like you were having so much fun." Congratulations to all our dancers!

Stage 2 Verse Speaking

After a busy day dancing last Thursday, many of our students returned to the Orange Function Centre the following day for the Schools Speech and Drama sections. Stage 1 and 2 competed in their relevant sections coming away with 1st and 2nd place respectively. The adjudicator commented on the lovely unison across the groups and use of suitable pitch and volume. Thank you to our Stage 1 and Stage 2 teachers on preparing the students so thoroughly and congratulations to all involved!
