Well done girls on representing your state with such pride & passion.
As we head towards the end of the season, it is important that our players and coaches stay focussed. For both the boys and girls competitions we are currently in the grind and this is the point where character and commitment is revealed.
Our boys have two ISA games remaining. We have made it through the roughest part of the season and I encourage our boys to lift the energy at training and in games. Our last away game is this weekend and we finish with a home game, this is an incredibly special time. We are looking forward finishing the season strong and wins over St Pius' and St Stanislaus' will be reward for effort and a brilliant way to complete our season.
Our girls are also in the grind with constant trips to Sydney. All five of our teams have had some amazing results with all teams sitting either first or second on the table. Our girls in their first full year of competition have been outstanding and are in line for a potential five Premierships. Once again, please get to training full of energy and ready to rip in.

The Kinross Wolaroi Snowsports team recently showcased their talents at the Thredbo Interschool Championships, competing with determination and enthusiasm across Alpine, Ski Cross, and Moguls. Standout performances included William Hoskins, who placed 20th in Alpine and 24th in Ski Cross, and Eve Napier, who finished 21st in Alpine and 23rd in Ski Cross, both demonstrating their growing competitiveness.
William Stratton impressed, securing 22nd in Alpine, 21st in Ski Cross, and an outstanding 8th place in Moguls, earning a spot in the State Championships. Charlotte Hoskins held her own in a tough Alpine division, while first-time competitors Nixie and Lulu Widauer showed great potential with strong finishes in both Alpine and Ski Cross. Madeleine Russell made a promising debut in Ski Cross, and Thomas Karrasch, with his prior results in Moguls, secured his place at the State Championships. Overall, the team's efforts at Thredbo reflected their hard work, skill, and bright future on the slopes.
As we look ahead, we’re excited about the continued growth of our Snowsports program. We aim to enter full teams of three in various divisions next year, strengthening our presence in competitions. If you’re interested in joining this dynamic and talented team, please reach out to Ms Madi Jones for more information.
Whether you’re a seasoned competitor or new to the sport, there’s a place for everyone as we build on this year’s successes and strive for even greater achievements next season. We also wish Thomas Karrasch and William Stratton the best of luck at next week’s State Championships in Perisher—go Kinross Wolaroi!
This past weekend was a busy one for our teams, with a challenging double header featuring games on both Saturday and Sunday. The girls displayed tremendous resilience and a positive attitude throughout, despite the demanding schedule. On top of their matches, many players also took on umpiring duties, demonstrating their commitment to the sport and to each other. With so many games packed into just two days, it's no surprise that some are nursing sore muscles and tired bodies, but their efforts have not gone unnoticed.
As we approach the final stretch of the regular season, with just two rounds to go before the finals, it's a good time to take stock of where our teams stand. In the 13 Blue Division, our 13A and 13B teams are sitting comfortably in 2nd and 3rd positions, respectively, with both teams in a strong position to push for the finals. Similarly, the 13C team is holding 3rd place in the 13 Red Division, proving themselves to be formidable competitors this season. In the 14 Blue Division, our14A team is leading the pack, currently sitting in 1st place, while14B is in 6th, fighting to secure their spot in the finals. Over in the 14 Red Division,14C is also in 1st place, with 14D in 7th, showcasing the depth of talent across our squads. Meanwhile, the15A team is performing well in the 15 Blue Division, holding 3rd place, with15B also in 3rd in the 15 Green Division. Our15C and 15D teams are competing hard in the 15 Red Division, currently sitting in 3rd and 2nd positions, respectively.
The Schoolgirls Division is proving to be highly competitive, with our Sky, Navy, Electric, Royal, and Midnight teams sitting in 2nd, 6th, 9th, 12th, and 13th places. With the top 8 teams progressing to the finals series, our Sky and Navy teams are particularly well-positioned to advance. In other divisions, our 3rds and 2nds are both leading their respective divisions, sitting in 1st place in Division 3 and Division 4. Finally, our 1sts are currently in 5th place in Division 2, working hard to secure a higher position as we move closer to the finals.
With a weekend off ahead, the girls have a much-deserved opportunity to rest and recover before returning for Round 13. We’re confident they will come back refreshed and ready to finish the season strong. Let's keep up the fantastic work and continue to support each other as we head into the finals. Go Kinross Wolaroi!

During the first two weeks of Term 3, Year 8 students participated in five introductory rowing lessons. These sessions covered the basics of rowing on the machines, included a visit to the rowing shed, and featured a pool training session. In the pool, students underwent a swim test, practiced boat entry and exit, and learned to balance while seated in the boat.
Year 8 thoroughly enjoyed exploring all aspects of the Kinross Wolaroi Rowing program. They were fortunate to receive guidance from four of the Kinross Rowing coaches—special thanks to Mr Ben Watt, Mr Adam Harrison, Mr Will Stanley Davis, and Mr James Perrin. A heartfelt thank you also goes to Mr Watt (MIC Rowing) for organising and leading these sessions.
