Tennis

We are thrilled to share the fantastic results from our recent participation in the Stage 2 and Stage 3 Todd Woodbridge Cup Tennis tournaments. It was an action-packed day with 52 students from Years 3-6 representing our school, showcasing their skills, enthusiasm, and sportsmanship. The event brought together a mix of new and experienced tennis players, all of whom gave their best on the court.

A special congratulations goes to Sophie Kerdic and Louis Pantehis-Marriott, who were awarded the sportsmanship award at the Stage 2 tournament. Their positive attitudes and fair play were a credit to our school. Additionally, Jessica McGreal made us proud by winning the sportsmanship award at the Stage 3 tournament.

Our Stage 2 teams had a stellar performance, securing both first and second place in the competition. These remarkable achievements mean that our Stage 2 teams will now advance to the Regional Finals in Cowra. We wish them the very best as they prepare for this next challenge.

Not to be outdone, our Stage 3 A team claimed victory in their tournament and have earned a spot in the State Finals, which will be held in Sydney during Term 4. This is an incredible accomplishment, and we look forward to cheering them on as they compete at the highest level.

In other exciting news, we are proud to announce that we will be taking a team to represent our school at the HICES Athletics Carnival next Thursday at Sydney Olympic Park. Our athletes have been training hard, and we wish them all the best as they compete on this prestigious stage.

Well done to all our students for their hard work, dedication, and sportsmanship. You have made our school community proud!

Hockey Report

The start of Term 3 has brought lots of energy to the Kinross Wolaroi full-field and half-field hockey teams. Students have been playing some amazing hockey, truly showcasing their improvement in skill, teamwork, and understanding of the game.

Both the Warriors and Brumbies secured victories on Wednesday 7 August. The games were full of excitement, and all students rose to the challenge against their competitive opponents.

A big shout out goes to all players who have shown commitment to attending training sessions, playing for their team as well as filling in for other teams.

Looking forward to what the rest of the season brings!
