Jesus

This week in Chapel, we were fortunate to explore the sotry from the bible of howe Jesus healed a deaf man in Mark 7: 34. This was one of many miracles that Jesus performed during his time on Earth to show us that He was, and is, the Son of God. One of the ways that Jesus showed us that He is Son of God is through the power over many things that He encountered on Earth. Ultimately Jesus showed us that He also has power over death, when He died on the cross and was resurrected. 

This story from the Book of Mark shows us that Jesus does all things well. It is a reminder that we are not able to do the things we want to do or able to save ourselves under our own power. It is Jesus who gives us that strength and salvation. It is both liberating and wonderful to know that we are able to rely on Jesus for so many things! Jesus always welcomes us to reach out to Him in prayer, sharing the things that are happening in our lives and bringing things to Him in prayer, which He will answer in His own way and time. 

Dear Lord, we thank you for the your Son, Jesus, and His love for us. We thank you for the great power that Jesus has and for the way we were able to see that in so many ways during His time of Earth that the Bible tells us about. Thank you for the way we can bring all things to you in prayer and that we can trust you to hear and respond to our prayers. Amen
