Summer ISS - Maroondah Division Finals - Girls Softball

On Wednesday, 15th October, the girls ISS Softball team had their Division playoff final against Good Shepherd PS at Yarra Valley Grammar School. The game was really close but we ended up winning 14 to 11 runs. It was really fun playing against Good Shepherd. We were really good at fielding and catching the ball and we could improve on our batting skills. We are very excited to be heading off to the Eastern Region finals at Waverly Softball Centre on Monday, 10th November, where we will play against other schools in the region. Thank you to Mrs Wills for coaching us and Mrs Samuel for driving and supporting us.

Summer ISS - Maroondah Division Finals - Open/Mixed T20 Cricket Open

On Wednesday, 15th October, the ISS Open/Mixed T20 Cricket team went to Yarra Valley Grammar and played two games against Yarra Valley Grammar and Ringwood Heights PS to decide the Maroondah Division winner. We ended up losing both games but were very close. We lost to YVG by 12 points and to Ringwood Heights PS by 14 points. Although we didn't win a game, it was fun to be competing against other schools and participating with my friends. The captains, Luca S and Leon M, did a fantastic job organising the team and decided that I was BOG (best on ground) for both games. It was a great team effort. We would like to thank Mrs Louise Stevenson and Mrs Kate Marais for helping and driving us to and from YVG.

In the afternoon, we played in the finals. We won by 12 points, which meant we were one of the top four teams to make it through to the State finals. We would like to thank Mr Archard for his hard work coaching us and looking after us and also Mr Turner for being our team manager/scorer for the day.
