Congratulations to the Catherine McAuley Staff and Students
An article appeared in the Sydney Morning Herald yesterday, naming schools across the state that showed the highest achievement in Naplan. I am so pleased to announce that Catherine McAuley was named as the highest achieving school in Orange.
Channel 7 interviewed Mrs Flynn today and this should air on tonight's news bulletin.

Improvement Agenda 2026
Each year Catherine McAuley School develops an Annual Improvement Plan. Areas for improvement are identified under our three pillars, Faith, Learning and Justice, and targetted for improvement.
We have identified the area of prayer as a main focus in the faith pillar for 2026. In learning we are focusing on the writing component of the English block. In Mathematics we will be looking at pedogogical practices and what is best practice. Mathematics will be a big focus for the Diocese and each school has a mathematics coach appointed to work with staff. Our other focus is the adoption of the new Creative Arts syllabus. We will be working with a new Creative Arts teacher in 2026, Miss Gabby Biviano, as Mrs Allan is retiring and Mrs Hughes will be on parental leave. As always, we will have a focus on wellbeing and continue to develop our Wellbeing space.
In the area of Justice we will have a renewed focus the effective use of data to support system priorities and drive system and to continue our school improvement journey.
