Learning in S40

Senior School Coxon is sharing the learning taking place in their class…

Students in S40 have been working hard since returning after the holidays.

In Writing, we have been learning to consider both sides of the argument and how to write a discussion piece, rather than writing a one-sided persuasive piece. Students are currently considering - ‘Should AI be used in classrooms?’

In Maths, we have been exploring location and transformations, where students have been reading and plotting coordinates on a Cartesian plane, and learning how to translate, reflect, and rotate shapes to create tessellating patterns.

In Reading, we have been reading our class novel, ‘Can you see me?’ By Libby Scott and Rebecca Westcott, which has resulted in some in-depth discussions about the main character who has autism.

With our Year 6ers finishing their time at Pakenham Springs at the end of Term 4, we are excited to be participating in lots of fun and memorable experiences to finish off the year.
