Junior School

JPPSA Swimming

Thursday afternoon, our Junior School Swimming Team participated in JPPSA Swimming. The afternoon was filled with enthusiasm, sportsmanship, and some wonderful achievements.

A special round of applause goes to Luke Thompson, whose exceptional organisational skills made the afternoon not only possible but a resounding success for our boys. His dedication and hard work did not go unnoticed, and we are all grateful for his efforts. A heartfelt thanks to Dane Mepham and Dion Mepham for the time and attention they spend training our students.

A big thanks to Rondelle May, and all the parents who contributed to making the big breakfast for our swimmers after each training session. Your support and generosity provided our athletes with the energy and motivation they needed to perform their best.

Our boys eagerly looked forward to representing the College, and they did not disappoint. The day was filled with personal achievements, with quite a few of our young athletes hitting new personal bests. Their hard work, determination, and sportsmanship were evident throughout the event, making us all incredibly proud.

The highlight of the JPPSA was the final relay of the day. The excitement reached its peak when our Year Six team took to the pool for the medley relay. Our team swam with remarkable speed.  It was a tremendously exciting finish

The success of the JPPSA is a testament to the spirit of our school community. Congratulations to all our swimmers for representing our school with such honour and enthusiasm.

Year 6 Parliament House Excursion

As part of the HASS studies this term, Year 6 Blue visited Parliament House on Wednesday this week. The boys were taken on a tour of Parliament House and were lucky enough to visit the Legislative Assembly and Legislative Council.

Here, they learnt about the functioning of Parliament and how bills are turned into laws. The boys were lucky enough to actually go into both house and sit in the chairs of local members of parliament. This was a great experience for the boys as they got a firsthand, real-life experience of Parliament. They even got to debate a ‘No Homework’ Bill.
