Blue Tree Round
The Blue Tree Project is an organisation designed to help spark difficult conversations and encourage people to speak up when battling mental health concerns. By spreading the paint and spreading the message that "it’s OK to not be OK", we can help break down the stigma that is still largely attached to mental health. (For more information visit the website below).
Throughout the PSA fixture against Christ Church, we invite the entire Trinity College community to become involved in our Blue Round to highlight the importance of talking about mental health and supporting those who may be experiencing mental health difficulties.
This initiative aims to raise awareness and funds for the fantastic work the Blue Tree Project does in our community. Students, staff, and community members are invited to be involved in the following ways:
- Blue Uniform Day - to commence the initiative, on Tuesday 12 March students are asked to wear their PE uniform for a gold coin donation with the funds raised from this going to support the Blue Tree Project. Year 11 and 12 students who do not have a PE shirt can wear a blue Trinity sport shirt
- During PCG on Tuesday students will learn about the Blue Tree Project and complete wellness activities
- There will be a number of large branches painted blue and placed in pots to create portable mini blue trees that will be positioned around the school
- During their PSA sporting fixture First teams will add an extra blue element to their uniform with the aim of raising awareness for this worthy cause.
