SAKG AFTERNOON TEA – Friday 24 May (Years 3-6 Sitting)

For the past 18 months, the COHR students have been participating in the Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden (SAKG) program, cooking up meals with ingredients sourced straight from the school’s vegetable garden. Now, the children would like to cook some of their favourite recipes and are inviting parents, grandparents and siblings to join them for an afternoon tea in the hall.

We will hold two sittings and be starting with the year 3-6 classes on Friday 24 May. The Preps-2 sitting will be in Term 3.

Families will be treated to a sampling of 4 dishes made by the children at a sit-down afternoon tea in the hall. Families are also welcome to purchase a take home pack (especially for those families that aren’t able to attend on the afternoon).

Costs

Adults – $15

Kids – $10 (children not associated with the cooking)

Family Ticket – $40 (2 x Adults & 2 x kids)

Kids under 5 – FREE

Take-home packs – $15 each

All proceeds from the afternoon tea will go toward the funding of next year’s SAKG registration and purchasing essential new cooking equipment for the children to use for the program.

The SAKG program has been a huge source of excitement for the kids and we would love to continue this initiative again next year.

A flyer will be coming home next week with more information.
