On Thursday our school gathered together to celebrate Holy Week, the most important week in the Church's year. Holy Week is the week we remember and celebrate the last days of Jesus’ life on earth before His death and Resurrection. We pray and reflect on the events of Jesus’ last days, his suffering and death. We think about what it might teach us so that we can be more faithful followers of Jesus willing to serve others just as he did.
Once again our awesome Faith and Social Justice Team, with the support of Vittoria, Louisa, Conlan and Jude and some very helpful Year 3 students, did an outstanding job presenting the events of Holy Week to our school community. Each year level had be practising relevant songs for each of the days of Holy Week, and apart from some unfortunate technical difficulties, they managed to sing their songs beautifully.
Huge 'Shout-out' to the junior students whose enthusiasm and outstanding palm waving was sustained well beyond their song "Cloaks and Branches".
Easter is a time to remember Jesus' Love and sacrifice. He loves and cares for us like no one else does. He forgives our wrong doings and offers us eternal life. He asks us to go out into the world and spread the Good News. So in return we are asked to
“GO OUT AND LOVE LIKE JESUS DID!”
Wishing all families a blessed Easter break and a safe and enjoyable term holiday.
