What's on in Visual Arts
Foundation Art
How gorgeous are these self portraits by the Foundation students? They’ve been practising drawing from life using a mirror to identify their unique features. These portraits will be placed against painted line backgrounds made by the Preps earlier in the Term.
1/2 Art
The Grade 1/2s have put in an impressive amount of effort into their birds eye view landscape paintings of the Birrarung. Topping off their already beautiful artworks by bringing Bunjil and Waa to life through stop motion animation.
3/4 Art
These mixed media native bird artworks by the Grade 3/4s were challenging to say the least! Perseverance, practice and a growth mindset were all essential to creating these artworks, and the hard work certainly paid off. Every one of the Grade 3/4s should be proud of the personal effort they have put into their pieces. We will be finishing these off early next term.
5/6 Art
The Grade 5/6s have worked tirelessly at finishing their intricate Wurundjeri seasons mosaics, with fabulous results! Keep an eye out for these when they’re on display in the Grade 5/6 area early next term.
