The end of the building works is in sight!

The oval has been re-instated and the area around the rotor has been sprayed with a mixture of grass seeds, mulch, water and fertilizer. There are irrigation pipes underground so the new grass is being watered.

Facilities and maintenance staff have attended training on the use of all the mechanical plant in the building. Hospitality staff were trained in the use of the steam oven, the induction hot plates and the commercial dishwasher.

We are waiting for the building inspector to sign off the building to give the school "practical completion".  There will be a later inspection that will give the school its "occupancy" certificate.

The architect has been inspecting the building to ensure all expectations are met and anything inconsistent with the plan is being adjusted. There are still some joinery items that need to be completed. Furniture for classrooms has been ordered and we are waiting for delivery late in the school holidays or in the first week or two of next term.

A plan for students transition to the new building is being developed and this will include a tour of the building for all the students.

The school has applied for a Commonwealth grant to upgrade the playgrounds around the school and external fencing. We hope to have more information next term on the success or failure of this grant application.
