Global Arts

Dear families

To kick off Term 2, Junior students have delved into the world of Boomwhackers in their Global Arts class. Boomwhackers, being fun, simple, and 'whacky' instruments, are beloved by children! They serve as an excellent avenue for kids to explore pitch and the musical alphabet (A, B, C, D, E, F, G).

Meanwhile, students in grades 3 and 4 have embarked on their first Ukulele lesson. They've familiarized themselves with the different components of the ukulele and learned proper holding techniques. They were strumming the strings and learning the C chord.

In the upcoming weeks, Year 5 and 6 students will delve into the diverse cultures of various Latin American countries where Spanish is spoken. While Spanish originated in Spain, situated in Europe, it has now become a prevalent language across Central and South America.

Kind regards

Mr Caddy
