Volleyball News

The first week of Term 2 started out on a high note, with our Nossal Inter/Senior Boys and Girls arriving at Dandenong Stadium with high spirits ready to dominate the competition. With every team having all players from the Nossal Volleyball Club, we were eager to place the skills we've worked on to the test. Each game, we all demonstrated our relentless teamwork and tenacity through our serves, receives and spikes whilst showcasing our sportsmanship to the opposing teams. Despite our small communication and service errors, we were able to overcome the adversity and strive forward on every set. 

During our breaks we would loudly cheer on for the other Nossal teams that were playing and watch the match unfold, hyping the players on court with every point. As the day went on, all teams (except one) were on a wild winning streak, giving us the needed energy to push us to victory. At the end of the very tiring day, all four of our teams successfully took the win for Nossal, securing our spot for regionals. It was an amazing experience witnessing our players evolve throughout each match, implementing different strategies and techniques, alongside the spirit of comradery tying it all together. 

To all the players who participated in this event, I would like to commend you for giving your all in this competition, as we fought hard for this well-deserved win. I would like to extend my gratitude to our volleyball coaches for taking their time to give us some tips and advice with our matches. I would also like to thank Mr Sacco and Ms Wen for helping out with the scoreboard and their immense support to all our teams.
