Grade 6 Camp

What an incredible time we had on Grade 6 Camp at The Ranch! Our 3 days were jam packed with activities which gave the students an opportunity to work on the theme of the camp - building their resilience. Zoom in on the poster above to see some of the feedback from the students after camp.

Camp taught us many things, including:

  • how to work together to go over walls, through tyres and build huts.
  • students can push themselves further than they might think.
  • climbing up very tall wobbly poles is hard!
  • there were some amazing mountain boarders in our group.
  • some teachers have incredibly loud screams when they're on the Giant Swing.
  • when playing games, some students will do almost anything for a lolly.
  • some boys don't like bats...

A huge thank you goes to Kristyn, Jo, Kate, Megan and Chris for coming along to help. We couldn't have run camp without you.

Parent Teacher Interviews

We look forward to meeting up with parents who booked a Parent Teacher Interview next Monday or Tuesday. Please be aware that time will be a little tight as we have 10 minutes for each conference. Teachers always do their best to stay on time so please let your teacher know if you there are any changes to your appointment.

Grade 5 Excursion

On the 27th and 28th March, the Grade 5's will be participating in an excursion at the Melbourne Holocaust Museum (See 'Dates' for your child's day). The program is called 'Hidden' and focuses on the  experiences of seven children that survived the Holocaust in hiding.  Their stories allow the students to hear first-hand the survivor’s perseverance and bravery, along with the acts of kindness and courage of others, that helped to save their lives.  It is an age appropriate and guided program.

NAPLAN

This year's NAPLAN testing is nearly over. Three of the tests are now complete, with only the Maths test to come next Tuesday. As a level, we have discussed how although there is a lot of external attention placed on them, these tests are only a small part of their overall assessment. They have all tried their hardest and we are extremely proud of everyone.

Colour Run

After the amazing success of last year's Colour Run, we can't wait for this year's event which will be held next Friday afternoon. Please ensure students have old shoes and a white t-shirt to wear and that they are well on the way in their fundraising ef
