Mission & Faith Life

Solemnity of Our Lord Jesus Christ, King of the Universe (Christ the King)

Celebrated on the last Sunday of the liturgical year, this special feast day was introduced in response to the rise of secularism and atheism.

The Solemnity of Christ the King invites us to celebrate and actively live out our faith in all aspects of life. As Christians, when faith is increasingly compartmentalised in society, there is a risk of keeping it confined to our private lives. We may love Jesus personally but hesitate to affirm his kingship publicly. This solemnity calls us to declare, both to ourselves and to the world, that Jesus is Lord of the Church and ruler of the entire universe. Click here to read more about this special feast day.

As we approach Advent, and our College community prepares for a season of reflection, hope, and anticipation. It’s a time to deepen our faith, embrace the spirit of giving, and support one another. Let us always be united in prayer and kindness, preparing our hearts for the joy and peace of Christ, the King of the Universe’s coming.

Prayer

Jesus, King of All Nations,

The only remedy for a world so ill,

May we serve You.

Jesus, King of All Nations,

Who blesses with peace those souls and nations

that acknowledge You as True King,

May we serve You.

Jesus, King of All Nations,

who mercifully sends us your Holy Angels to protect us,

May we serve You.

Amen.

St Vincent de Paul Christmas Appeal

Restoring hope and share the joy this Christmas!

Year 8 Market Stall Day

A big thank you to our Year 8 students and PCG teachers for organising and hosting the Market Stall Day. We also want to express our gratitude to our amazing College community for their participation. Through our collective efforts, we raised over $1,000! This generous contribution will help spread the joy of Christmas to children in need this year.

Learning Space and Pastoral Care Group Fundraiser

Each year level is also invited to contribute a gold coin donation to their LS/PCG, which will go towards purchasing a present for a child in need for the St Vincent de Paul Christmas Appeal.

All presents from both fundraisers will be presented to representatives from the St Vincent de Paul Society during our Thanksgiving Mass in Week 9.

Pope Francis’ Prayer for Children

Come, Holy Spirit,

show us your beauty,

reflected in the faces

of children all over the world.

Come, Jesus,

you who make all things new,

who are the way that leads us to the Father,

come and remain with us always.

Amen.

Pope Francis' Monthly Prayer Intention

In November, we pray for anyone who has lost a child.

We pray that all parents who mourn the loss of a son or daughter find support in their community and receive peace and consolation from the Holy Spirit.
