We are learning to persuade our audience using slogans and posters. 

VOCABULARY

Slogan: a short and striking or memorable phrase used in advertising.

Posters: A printed promotion of an event, service, product, or idea posted in a high-traffic area.

ACTIVITIES YOU CAN DO AT HOME TO SUPPORT YOUR CHILD'S LEARNING

Have the students look around the house to find examples of slogans on packaging or advertisements (e.g., “Just Do It” for Nike).

Write down each slogan and the product it represents.

Discuss what makes each slogan memorable and effective
