This week, I ran some sessions with the year six students in preparation for their transition to secondary school.
The students took part in activities including, placing themselves on a scale from nervous to excited about the following:
-finishing primary school
-meeting new people
-the work in year seven
-new teachers
-getting around a new school
Students then did a pair-share with cards around the room that had different questions, such as
"Who was your favourite teacher at primary school and why?"
"What is your funniest primary school memory and why?"
"What will you miss most about being in year six and why."
Some robust and reflective conversations were had by all.
The students then shared their ideas about what they know and what they would like to know about their secondary school.
The Reporting Portal will be live with Semester 2 reports on Thursday 13th December. If you have not already done so, you will need to download the new reporting portal.
The new method to access your child’s reports will need to be accessed via the new app ‘nForma for Parents’. Please be sure to follow the instructions on the attachment below to download and login into the app. When setting up and logging in, please use the email address that was previously used on the existing parent portal. You will be able to access previous student reports on the new portal.
There is troubleshooting and FAQs in the attached document to help support any issues you may encounter. Failing this, please contact Eloise Ellis or Jordan Lo Ricco for assistance.
IMPORTANT:
Year 6 parents and parents of leaving students, it is highly recommended that you download your child’s report/s, as later in the new year your access to the portal will no longer be available.
