Congratulations Sacramental Canidates

Last week we had Thirty-Two students from our school receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation for the first time. This week we congratulate them on this important step in their faith journey and we continue to pray for them as they continue their Sacramental journey in 2025 with the Sacraments of Confirmation and Eucharist.

Congratulations to Cody, Charlie, Harry, Hamish, Winifred, Angus, Zoe, Arlo, Beau, Kai, Oscar, Jack, Patrick, Annabelle, Demi, Cecilia, Ivy, Lewie, Sonny, Emily, Amelia, Alexandra, Bernard, Maddox, Jame, Eloise, Fraser, Jonathan, Natalie, Audrey, Will and Florence.

Advent Begins

The Season of Advent begins this Sunday. Many people know of Advent in association with countdown to Christmas calendars in their various forms.

The Season of Advent is much more than that. It is a season of spiritual preparation, and joyful anticipation. In a number of ways, it is similar to Lent, a time where we look at our lives and make an effort to strengthen our relationship with God.

During Advent, we joyfully prepare our hearts, minds and souls for the coming of Jesus as remembered at Christmas and anticipated for in his future second coming, however that may be.

At school the students will learn about Advent through their Religious Education lessons, through their participation in Advent prayers through the use of Advent wreaths and Jesse Trees, participation in Reconciliation, and many other school and community experiences.

Charitable Christmas Giving

It is a customary practice of the Catholic Community to support others during Advent.

Two great options are:

St. Vincent de Paul Christmas Appeal

Vinnies supports local families who are experiencing a range of challenge and financial pressures.

Caritas Global Gifts

Caritas provides aid to the poorest communities around the world and provides disaster relief.
