Holy Saviour Festival Highlights

Festival Highlights

It was a fabulous celebration on the weekend with the 50 year Parish celebratory Mass on Saturday night and the much anticipated Holy Saviour Festival on Sunday!

It was wonderful to see so many Holy Saviour past, present and future families and friends, as well as members of the Parish and community coming along to help out and participate in the festivities. It was a beautiful day and there were so many rides, stalls, entertainment, food and fun to be had!

A huge thank you to Denise Konstantinou and all the members of the Festival Committee for your hard work and tireless efforts leading up to the festival and on the day. Thank you also to all the Holy Saviour past families who came along and assisted in so many ways throughout the day.  A huge thank you also to all the Holy Saviour families who donated and contributed  items, time and resources to the festival.  An event like the Holy Saviour Festival cannot happen without community support, so we would like to thank each and every one of you for your generosity, time and community spirit.

Here are some highlights from the day...

MLC:

Our school hosted a festival last weekend on the 10th of November for the 50 Year Anniversary. At the festival nearly everyone from our school came to celebrate. There were all sorts of things to do and ride. Some of these were the dunking machine, food and best of all rides. There were probably around 5 different rides, but the one that stood out for me was the one where there were lots of chairs in a row and it spun around and around. I screamed a lot!

SLC-KC:

The Festival was very amusing! There were lots of stalls with lots of different items to sell and buy. There were lots of little game stalls and tattoos. The tattoos were my favourite and were very fun for me.  There was also lots of rides. My favourite was the Cha Cha. Bluey and Bingo were also there and Spiderman came too for the younger children. It was good to see so many people and past students there too.

The Holy Saviour Festival was very fun.  It had lots of fun games, stalls and surprise guests such as Bluey, Bingo and Spiderman.  They also had things called treasure hunt show-bags. There were two to choose from. There was the Fidget show-bag and the Assassins Creed show-bag.  You could go around to all the stalls and get prizes. There was a grand prize you could get after you collected all the prizes from all the different stalls at the end. Some of the stalls were for practicing your aim. There was a fake tattoo stall and a dunking stall where you could dunk Mr Evans, Father Ralph, Father Jacob and Damien. Lastly there were lots of fun rides, such as the Cha Cha, Dodgem Cars, Twister and Pony Rides. The Holy Saviour Festival was the best!

SLC-C:

The Festival had a lot of fun stuff! While there I saw Dodgem Cars, an Inflatable Soccer field, a 360 degrees spinning machine and a mini merry-go-round, but with carts. There were also food trucks, silent auction and shops. In the end Bluey and Bingo came and there was a bit of Karaoke. My favourite thing was the inflatable soccer field.

On the 10th November we had an amazing festival. There were a lot of activities that we could do and lots of rides. My favourite ride was a ride that would spin you up and down in a circle really fast. There was also a show-bag that sent you on a hunt to go to every stall and get things. There was also a few food trucks. Overall it was an amazing time and I hope we do it again sometime soon!
