Principal's Desk

Dear Parents,

This evening I have the pleasure of hosting our current Parents’ Association (P.A) and School Advisory Council (SAC) members for a light supper and refreshments. It is an opportunity to express our thanks and gratitude for their generosity of time and talents. The members of the PA are tasked with the responsibility of building community through social events as well as raising funds for the benefit of our students.  The SAC members provide input and advice on a variety of school matters, including school initiatives, policies and school improvement. Both the PA and SAC require a commitment to attending meetings on a regular basis, often with actions to follow. Once again, we are thankful for the willingness of these parents to contribute to our community - thank you!

Finding time to volunteer can be extremely challenging, with work and family commitments understandably the priority. Within the school calendar of events, there are many opportunities for parents to be involved in the life of the school. While some parents are able to commit to being part of a formal committee or advisory council, others are willing and able to assist where required.

I would like to express my gratitude to every parent who has volunteered in some way, shape or form. This includes, but not limited to, sporting events, excursions, Mothers / Fathers day stalls, whole school community events and classroom help, just to name a few. A huge thank you to you all!

Robyn Hunter (crossing supervisor) - Tribute Service

It was lovely to gather together last Thursday afternoon to remember Robyn and to acknowledge her service to our community. Robyn's husband, John, and their two daughters were in attendance and were extremely grateful for the special service. We presented the Hunter family with a special memory book containing messages from families within our school community. A second copy of the book can be viewed at reception. The bench seat outside the St Mary's gate looks great and is already being used by students and parents.

To celebrate the end of the school year, the Student Representative Council (SRC), under the guidance of Mr Shannon Mullavey, have organised a casual dress day and sausage sizzle on Monday 16th December.

The casual dress is free and the purchase of sausages is optional, at a cost of $2 per sausage in bread.   Please see further on in the Newsletter for more details.

A huge thanks to TheirCare, our before and after school care provider, for generously offering to supply the sausages.

Holy Trinity Representative Uniforms

Our children love wearing Holy Trinity uniforms to represent their school, and we’re thrilled to see their pride! However, to keep this going, we need all uniforms returned, including shorts, T-shirts, basketball singlets, football guernseys, and representative socks.

Thank you to the families who have already returned all items after washing—it is much appreciated. If you find any additional uniform items at home, please send them back with your child ASAP.

Thank you for your support in helping our teams stay prepared for future events!

Just a reminder to all families that our Christmas Carols night will be at St Jude's Church on Thursday 5th December starting promptly at 6pm.

Prep students please arrive at the church at 5.30pm so that teachers can help them get into their costumes for the Bilingual Nativity Play - further information will be sent to Prep parents with regards to this.

Could all other students please arrive at the church at 5.45pm and make their way to their class teachers as they will be sitting with their class for the duration of the evening. Parents and extended family/friends may sit in the pews available.

Students may wear anything Christmas themed for the performance. No need to purchase anything new, just wear something that they may already have at home.

We are looking forward to a lovely evening of singing and celebrating the Christmas season.

School Blog - check it out!

I would like to continue to encourage parents to access our school blog to see what’s happening around our school, particularly specialist classes and extracurricular activities. Our students contribute to the posts on a regular basis - I strongly encourage you to `like’ a post of leave a comment. The students get a real buzz to know that parents are appreciating their posts!
